Abstract: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT AND CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
This research explores the intersection of financial management and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Objectives include assessing the financial implications of CSR activities, identifying best practices in integrating CSR with financial management, and evaluating the impact of CSR on corporate performance. A survey research design is employed to gather data from corporate financial managers and CSR officers. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 300 firms in Lagos, Nigeria, was selected. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument is 0.88. Findings indicate that integrating CSR with financial management enhances corporate reputation and performance, though it requires careful balancing of financial and social goals. Recommendations include adopting comprehensive CSR strategies that align with financial objectives and stakeholder expectations.
